Over a considerable time I have been experimenting with both the TED 1000 and 5000 energy monitoring systems.
These have a number of problems and limitations. To get a better understanding of the systems I have analyzed and decoded most of the PLC (power line communication) protocol.

The TED systems can be useful recording troubleshooting tools, but the limitations need to be understood.
