Hi, I wanted to ask which code should be referred to when designing Audio/Visual, Security and Telecom systems for building? I am not sure if NEC has specific section for these, and/or what other code are there that would give guidance on installation of these systems?

NEC will cover the wiring (look in the 800s), but it's not a design manual. I think BICSI has some info, too. (Once you're out of life-safety systems, most of what you'll find is about installation practices, not overall system design.)

If you are new to the NEC I would suggest Mike Holts Understanding the NEC vol 2 and 2, and the NEC hamdbook.
