Curious as to how others would approach this.
Have existing MDP feeding new DPL( existing DPL being replaced in same location and existing feeder to DPL being replaced).
DPL feed loads that the are being intercepted and fed from new DPL.
The existing loads that DPL feeds( that are being intercepted) must remain live.
How would you approach to minimize downtime to these loads? Temp out??
Even if you ran the new conduits from splice box to DPL vicinity next to existing ones you’d still have long down time if you didn’t temp.
You would have to all feeds, even to DPL in place and the downtime would be:
If you didn’t temp out that would be roughly the amount of time there would be no power to the loads from DPL?

- De-energize to feeder to DPL so you can remove DPL
- Re-install DPL and connect feeder to DPL
- Tie in loads to DPL and splice box then liven up
