Temp rating of conductors

What temp rating do most connections have. I am going to be hooking up a generator and I am running a fine line on the wire. 45amo breaker in the generator and 50 amp in the panel. Can I use #8?

Didn't you already ask this question? Most terminations are 75C but if you use NM cable or Se cable then you are limited to 60C Article 334.80.
