I am in the process of putting an addition on the side of my house where the service is located. I need to put up a temp service until the addition is built and the panel is relocated to the new wall. I will be putting up a temporary meter base and 200 amp switch with a temp. pole for the drop. The thing I'm not sure about is the type of cable to use from the load side of the temp. disconnect to the exsisting panel. Any help on this would be appreciated
thank you

Re: Temp Service

Use type SE if above ground or type USE if below ground. These are going to be your most economical choices. See NEC Art.338
