I wanted to ask about different ways / means or methods to temporarily attach a triplex when changing out a service mast that has the triplex attached to it. No power company involved - triplex is hot , I have just laid it on the ground before but if there are any devices out there that keep it easy to reattach / still in the air ? Maybe an attachment to a bucket truck or a recommended tie off method ?

Use a few half hitches with a long tie off rope and attach the tie off rope to some other than the riser on the building in question. If it’s residential, you will lots of choices. They also make items called cable grip tensioner like in the link below.
 
We just use a piece of 1/4" or 3/8" rope with several half hitches as Crash suggested. We've run the rope over the roof and tied off to something like the chimney or nearby tree. When all else fails a temporary eye bolt can be installed as a tie in point.
 
The problem is tensioning the drop when you want to reattach it to maintain proper clearance over driveways, etc. Depending on the length, it could be a two-man job. A grip like shown above and a come-along is recommended.

If the new mast is going in the same location as the old one then no tensioning should be required. You would just need something to hold it in place while you replace the service. You could always insert a come-a-long between the rope and whatever you're temporarily anchoring it to for adjustment when the new mast is in place. I would avoid using a metal grip on any drop that is energized. Non-conductive rope is much safer.
 
Depending on the house or building...

I'm thinking of a house, where the mast goes above the roof line. If there's no guy wire on the existing mast, you can add an eye hook into the roof and tie through it for temp support. Then add the guy wire after the drop is attached to the new mast.

I'm thinking of a commercial building. If there's strut with room, you can put a strut strap on it and tie to that, or add an eye hook into the wall.

Either way, I'll use a piece of Romex to fasten the drop to the hook.

I was looking for suggestions on where to temp anchor the triplex to . The metal grip I actually like (attached to the neutral just like the permanent neutral catch for triplex , right ?) I understand though the rope being non conductive concern
