would you be allowed according to code to combine the feed for the temperture controller and the signal wires from the air handler starter ,both 600 v. ins. 120v. feed and 24 v. signal .I would'nt need to run two pipes to join the same two enclosures together ,would I ?

Re: temperature controller

Section 725.55 of the NEC does not permit Class 2 and Class 3 circuits to be installed in raceways with Class 1 and power circuits.

However, you may be able to reclassify your signal conductors to Class 1 circuits per 725.52(A) Exception No. 2.

Re: temperature controller

the starter is a 3ph.208v. moter starter feeding a steam fed airhandling unit
The control wiring coming from the temperature control panel picks up its feed from the load side of the control trans.in the starter and the power feed to the temperature control panel is derived on the 120v.primary of the control trans ,these two sets cannot be run together in the same conduit ?

Re: temperature controller

also ,this is a 2002 code ques. and the code must have changed because my 1999 code book does not have a section 725.55 ,thanks
