Temporary feeder substitute

Id frawings call for multiple sets of 4" with 500mcm & 2/0 for a temporary feeder would you try to substitute is and qualify? And if so waht would you use? Aluminum etc?

Not much available to substitute at that size, you could try to substitute multiple runs of smaller SER cable but you will run afoul of 250.122(B) with that plan.


I might try to price it using AL in place of copper but if you are pricing thing right you should make more selling them copper than AL.
