Looking for suggestions on best method to install a temporary feeder approx. 600 ft, outdoor, across the surface of a landfill. There would be no traffic. Feeder would be 150A, 480 VAC.

I'm not familiar with what wire/cable methods would normally be used for this type of temp feeder, how it would be protected (physically). Field has suggested everything from 3/C cable across the ground to conduit.

The mining cable above or portable power cable both would work but very expensive.

We would likely lay PVC across the ground, stake it down and pull aluminum single conductor through it.

How temporary is it? The NEC may not see it as temporary.

Thanks for the comments.

Temporary would likely mean 1-3 months. Conduit with AL conductors was what I was thinking, but will look into the mining cable as well. It is not clear how much flexibility will required during the construction phase - the load may have to be fed from different parts of the site at different stages, so the cable seems more efficient, but will have to look at cost.
