A trailer mounted generator supplying 480 volt for temporary power on a belt project is being used. The electricians tied cable in through a CGB and hard wired it instead of using a cord and plug connection. So now does this require an electrode?

Far more important than the electrode is the system bonding jumper. Without it, some one could get a fatal shock.
