Will temporary lighting ever be required to be 3 wire and not as what is manufactured today for temporary building lighting

If your asking if we will be required to run an EGC with temporary lighting circuits the answer is the NEC does require an EGC to be run.....if there is anything to ground.

We often use metal halide fixtures for temps, you can bet they are grounded.

If we run incandescent stringers we do not run an EGC as it would not connect to anything. Rubber socket, glass lamp, plastic cage, what exactly would you ground?
