I was reading an electrical project management book by Sam Meland(??) last night. The book is from the mid 80's so I don't know if his infomration on particular tops is still done that way.

He was talking about temporary power for buildings and how you should create some type of mobile setup with disconects, panels transfomrers etc. so they can be brought from job to job. Is that still done? It makes sense to do it that way. What is done at the end of the job with the stringers, panels and other stuff that is used for the temps? Thanks.

A number of contractors in this area have several "temporary power distribution" boards with transformer/panels/GFCIs etc they move from large job to job.
Most every commercial job here has a "board" with a panel and GFCIs which has seen many jobs.
