Hey guys, I was tasked with determining the needed size for a temporary switchboard for the jobsite trailers. I've searched the web trying to find out how to calculate the load we need, but haven't found anything too helpful. We are providing the temp power service for 11 trailers. Any help would be very much appreciated.

IME, most job trailers have either a 60a or 100a 2p main feeding a single lighting circuit (maybe 2 if the outside is separate from inside), 2-3 receptacle circuits, and the HVAC (between 5 and 10kw heat, probably 3-4 tons cooling). A bunch of this info is online and in previous forum threads.

You should be able to work from there.

Depends on the climate and time of year where they are placed. Minnesota in the winter, or Orlando Florida in the summer! LOL!
