How much/do you charge out for a temporary service panel? Do you rent it or absorb the cost into your hourly?

Also, if you have to purchase an item at retail price in a bind, like from a True Value or Home Depot, do you add the same markup to retail item?

thanks.

I try to sell as many of them as I can to the GC. Many of them don't realize they bought it from me when I installed it. I always try to sell the t-poles, and if they insist on giving it back, if it's in good condition still I give a small credit and sell it again. If it's all messed up, they continue to own it and they can do with it whatever pleases them.

If the house has a basement, we install the underground service on the house right after back fill. We always install a 20A GFI on the bottom of the load center panel. The GFI will be hot as soon as the power company runs power to the service. The basement has to have a GFI in it anyway. If the carpenters or anyone else needs power before the utility company hooks up the service, they use a generator.
