We are planning a year long car dealership remodel and they wanted to have a couple mobile mini trailers to use as temporary service and sales areas.

The website shows they have a 125A 120/240 panel on them, but I was wondering if there were any glaring problems running them each off of a 70A breaker in an existing 120/240 panel, assuming that covers the trailer demand.

The only panels in the building I can come off of that are existing have a max 70A breaker rating, so it's either that or set two new 277/480Y to 120/240D transformers and disconnects etc. If I can avoid the added cost for the customer it would be great.

Thanks for any input!

Ok great - I called mobile mini and they said the A/C was on a 30A breaker - other than that there are 14 outlets, fluorescent lighting and the small water heater, Im thinking we should be well covered.

Thank you for the agreement!

No heat? I think you will find that your going to need the full size feeder to these units.

Sometimes an easy way to handle it is to run a 480 feeder out to the trailers and place a transfomer right under them.

Yeah we are in the Atlanta area - most of the phases that will require the trailers will be completed during the summer/fall. Just the last little indoor bit will be finishing up in Nov/Dec.
