We really love the limitations on the number of outlets on AFCI's![]()
I guess that the reasoning is to prevent someone from putting all of the bedrooms outlets in a house on one AFCI circuit.
steve
I guess those at my county code office dont know what is going on or our county does not have to adopt what the state adopts. Im confused.
Not that it is ridigly enforced, but TN State Code also states:
"0780-2-1-.17 LOCAL ORDINANCES.
No city, county, town, municipal corporation, metropolitan government or political subdivision of this state shall
adopt or enforce any ordinance prescribing less stringent electrical standards than those established hereunder as
determined by the Division. "
http://www.tennessee.gov/sos/rules/0780/0780-02/0780-02-01.pdfDo you have a source for that so that I may also have access to?
