I have a States type ZWM terminal strip that is rated for up to #10 conductors. However, we have to install a #1 conductor in this terminal strip.

anyone ran into similar issues? what is the best method to do this?

It depends, was the 1AWG used for voltage drop or was it used for its current carrying ability?

voltage drop only. no issues with current
