We are getting ready to do a tenant buildout in a new shell building in the Chicago area. We were sent the as-built files for the shell building and I have a question regarding the attached Riser Diagram. What type of switchboard is this. i have never heard of the term "termination cross buss". See attached picture. Any of the Chicago guys care to explain this.

Cross busses are horizontal busses made to connect adjacent sections of gear.

They probably have multiple adjacent sections of the main gear, and each section probably has multiple meters each with a breaker.

But then we would quickly run into the 6 throws rule. Unless there is a 3000 amp main disconnect somewhere upstream.

With only the single 200 amp meter and main shown, its probably hard to tell exactly what is already there.

That's what I thought as well. just have never seen those words together ever on a riser. I am trying to get the gear order/submittals as this is a new build so we can see what they are providing.
