i have gone for my electrical journeyman test,
i passed part 2 and 3 , the open book and
calculations. i can`t seem to pass the 1st
part, the close book (theory).
i`ve studied my butt off, but i can`t pass.
does anybody have an idea what i`m doing wrong?
one question that i always get is (if you penetrate through a one hour rated fire wall,
what hour fire rated chalk seal would you
use: A- one hour B-two hour C-three hour
d-four hour) i think it`s one hour.
am i wrong???
God bless all the electricians
thanks

Re: test question

When did you take the exam? As of March 1st of this year, the exam is no longer a three part exam. The Journeyman is all open book, 80-questions, and a three hour time limit.

The theory and general knowledge questions are very hard to study for. Its an either you know it or you dont situation.

My best advise is to get a good electrical dictionary and a basic electrical theory book. Everything else is experience from time in the trade. :)
