I know this stuff is in the Annex's of NFPA 110 and NFPA 99 for hospitals but I'm wondering if someone can save me some time should you have something at your fingertips.

What I'm looking for is testing requirements for Type I and Type II EES systems in hospitals?

vs testing requirements for Emergency Generator Systems in non-health care facilities

Can anyone point me towards a white paper or better still a table of sorts that summarize these?

Thanks,

Mike

Just off the top of my head, I'm not sure there are any differences. Emergency systems in hospitals and other occupancies are all covered under NFPA 110 as either a Level 1 or a Level 2 system, and I think the testing requirements are probably all the same.

Again, I didn't look it up, so I could be wrong.

I'd start with your state agency for health care administration and then go to the local fire marshal and the local electric inspector. Coordinate with all them and you should be good to go. As to whether they want 3rd party certification is something they'll have to answer.
