Testing Smokes on a AFCI

Hypothetical For purposes of testing & inspection )
1.) Smokes are on a dedicated AFCI and installed w/ battery backup 2.)AFCI is tripped .. 3.) Spray smoke is shot at a detector.

Question: Will the battery 9v backup provide enough signal for the travelor to pick it up and fire all smokes together or should only the unit sprayed activate

Would think they all would go off , or at least better.Give it a try

Interconnect will work OK on battery only if the detectors are working. I always try'em out on battery before hooking them up to a breaker.

Supplemental A/C only units won't sound though.
