We have cables coming into manhole...600V DC. Is there something that's inexpensive that can be used to test for leaky/stray voltage? Some conduits have 4 cables. Thanks.
Under $700.What’s your definition of inexpsinsive lol
A megger test?? I'm talking something that you could just wrap around the cables or do right at that location... Or clamp around the cables For a megget don't you have to be a both ends of the cable? We want to do this while the cables are live.Used Megger Test Equipment For Sale | AccuSource Electronics

We have to fill the conduit with a duct seal type of sealer. It's applied with caulk gun and tube of the sealer. Before we do this we want to check for any stray/leaky voltage. We may do it live.Where exactly are you wanting to test for this voltage? From what point to what point do you think you have "stray" voltage. What is the reason for doing this testing?
Yes sorryIt sounds like you need to test for leakage current, not voltage.
That was not carried in our bid...no way we can do that ...we d be royally screwed . We qualified shutdowns were not included so we may have an out. Btw does megger test for current ?Turn the power off. Disconnect the wires. Meg it. My Fluke was 400+-.

None at all. Just a safety think . One of the guys said he'll put the sealant in live and another wont ...we want to at least mUbe test so there no start current or voltage but something that will take minimal time to doWhat documentation exactly is the customer/contract asking for

What's that?
Anyone have input on this?Ok, hopefully someone can help with suggestions to mitigate the damage.
Would you apply this to a conduit with live 600v cables?
