I've just browsed the states website on the New Electrical license requirements and found a few hidden issues Texas Electricians should be aware of.... 1).... They do a initial criminal background search with TEXAS DPS, before they'll issue any license. 2).... If found to be convicted of any crime, the application is sent to be further reviewed with a decision to grant a license or deny it. 3)....If they deny your application for a license,They grant you a formal hearing at which you can plead your case and they stand on their decision or change it. 4)....Each year upon renewal each licensee will be rechecked by TEXAS DPS before your license will be renewed. 5)....They can deny or suspend your license if you're behind on child support payments. IF YOU WANT TO SEE IT YOURSELF GO TO; WWW.LICENSE.STATE.TX.US.INDEX/HTML Click criminal conviction guidelines, Other info was found on electrical FAQ, and Adopted laws. Griff
