I filled out my W-4 form this morning as part of accepting a position as a part time apprenticeship instructor for the local chapter of IBEW.

I would like to give a big thanks to all of those here who have helped me advance my knolwedge of the NEC to heights that I figured to be unatianable less than a year ago.

Thanks to all, Ryan Jackson

Re: Thanks

Congrats, Ryan, it's a noble profession.

I think you will do the job well, and get much satisfaction from it.

That's a "Five Pound Bass"!

(This is my youngest brother's highest form of praise.)

Re: Thanks

Ryan, you will do well but get ready to learn! I taught for eight years and, every year, I learned more than my students did.

The only way to teach is to study hard to keep ahead of their questions. It is embarrassing to have a question asked and you not know the answer. Going along with that statement, don't be afraid to say "I don't know". It will be hard the first time but you can't BS students. Tell them that you will get the information and let them know as soon as you find out. Trust me, they will respect you for that.

I wish you the best and I know you will enjoy it. :D

Re: Thanks

Thanks very much for your kind words guys, and I beleive you are all right...I'm going to enjoy it.

Yesterday I taught an eight hour class on hazardous and OCPD's. I really enjoyerd watching the light bulbs light up on people's faces when they learned about tap rules and round-up rules. Very satisfying.

Thanks again,
