To all,
What are your favourite fonts for projecting?
I have mostly used Tahoma. Recently, i've tried Gill Sans.

Comments?
Thanks,
Eric

I believe Mike Holt recommends the use of "Arial" at his Instructor's Conference.
If he does, then this is one area in which I must disagree with him. I believe it is easier to recognize letters and words, especially in a projected image seen at a distance, if the font has the characteristic called "serif." Those are the little tick marks at the beginning and end (or the top and bottom) of each letter. For example, if you draw a straight, vertical line, you have the letter "l." If you put a very short horizontal line under it and a small tick mark at the top, you still have the letter "l," but it is easier to recognize.

Unfortunately, this Forum does not give us the option of selecting a font for our posts. So I can't give you a demonstration. But open your word processor, type a few lines of text. Make some of the lines in Arial, and others in Times New Roman. Make the font size large, so you can see the serifs easily. You will see the difference. Whether you agree that the serif font is easier on the eyes is up to you.

I dislike Century Gothic for the same reason given above. I use Times New Roman for everything I do.
