dear mike, as you and many people have seen, the high voltage repair man video on youtub getting flown out to the power lines. You may think im mad but you don't really know me (not trying to be mean), but it looks like something I mite enjoy. But i was wondering if you or someone here can point me in the right direction. all i can find is links of people who like the youtube video and not someone i can talk to about employment. If you or anyone know of a link that can help me out to find out how get this job that would be great.
thanks, tim.

I think that is more up the lineman's department than ours. This here is how I look at it.

Welcome to the furum!

Try these two websites forums:

http://www.powerlineman.com/

http://www.line-man.com/

Not trying to run you off, but you'll probably find more useful commenst over there.

Here is my quasi-usefull opinion:
Linework is generally preformed by the power company. The work they cannot - or do not want to - perform will be subbed out to a lineman electrical shop.
