Recently passing the LLE exam able to work under 25k. Can you run a business hire employees and run small jobs. So little info on this it seems I can work as myself for myself has anyone had any light on the subject as far as being able to start a service group of electricians.

Sure! The 25K limit is just for a single job. With today's prices, I think they are going to have to "re-think" that amount. I don't think most jobs are even checked for cost. Now if you take on large projects and have employees, even their labor is counted towards the 25K limit on each job. You would then need to get a contractor's (CE) license.
If you're just doing service calls and small projects, then you should be fine.

There are other rules for the business part. You would have to check with your city and county for the requirements. These would also include meeting the State requirements.

Ya, the real question is can I hire employees and run a business. It just makes no sense to me as far as the wording goes Ive seen people do it but is it legal and as far as other small contractors that are licensed but not contracts license working running a business with jobs under 25k.

Ive been a service electrician for years i don’t thank I’ve ever worked a job over 25k I came close the other day with a rewire but want to focus on just service resi light commercial business

As far as the CE whats the best material to work on and study courses i just never really thought i would run a business with jobs over 25k at this point

Im just looking to build a business and looking for clarification to start a business and hire employees

Thanks for the input
