The wall separating the house from the garage.

I have always treated the wall separating the garage from the dwelling unit as having a fire rating: that is, limiting the number and size of outlets in stud spaces etc.

I have copies of the UL Fire Resistance Directory and the 2006 IRC but can't find and section that specifically addresses this wall.

Any help would be appreciated.
