I notice they usually face the pole , but some are turned in a different direction ! Do You think some electricians the turning them away from prevailing winds , for driving rains ? Just a thought . Thanks Tool

We angle them because it's what the POCO wants. It may even be in their specs. I just thought it was so the drip loops would be spaced from the drop.

Yep. Not far from me in New Mexico local POCO requires them ninety degrees away from the pole. Here in where I live you can point them any direction that works. I try and face them towards the sunset at winter solstice.
