I just got a copy of the new phonebook, I have been running the same add for several years without any changes, when I looked at the copy I got today, the didnt use my logo and just spelled my company name out in large block letters. I think it looks really cheap, and its not what I agreed on, I will be calling my advertising contact on monday to complain, does anyone have any advice on how to handle this? what should I expect to get in compensation for thier screw up?

i wouldn't settle for anything less than 50% refund.

If they didn't give you a proof that you argeed to, and you expected your ad to be the same as last year and it was not. I wouldn't pay them a dime, I might even explain how they are now hurting my image and demand restitution.

Had a similiar situation a couple of years back. The compensation was a 50% discount on the ad and they added a zone at not charge. When I called the ad rep, they refered me to the claims department who were very matter-of-fact about it. I figured it must happen a lot.

Exactly. It does happen a lot. Seems like you hear about it on one trade forum or another a few times a year. Worse yet, is a totally missing ad. The typical resolution seems to always be either this year's ad 1/2 off, or next year's ad for free.
