We are installing a thermadore hood with a remote blower. I was just reading through the instructions (I know, I usually don't either). The remote blower requires 6 wires. These wires run from the hood in the kitchen up to the remote on the roof, which in this case is 50' away. The unit comes with two connectors, one that plugs into the blower and one that plugs in at the hood. We are apparently supposed to buy the wire and connect it to the supplied connectors. All sounds fine, but you cant use 2 pieces of wire because the connector only has one slot for the wire to go through. Last time I checked they don't make 14/6 wire. So my question is, what do you guys who have done this before use? I could just use two runs of 14/3, but then I'd have to cut the connectors off the blower and the hood and I'm not sure what that does to the warranty. The only 6 conductor cable I found was SO which I don't think is CL2 rated to go in the wall.
Thermadore offered absolutely no help at all. They essentially said..don't know. It's your problem.
