How does one go about replacing a thermal element in a recessed can fixture? I know how to physically do it, but don't have any specs on the one being replaced(30+ yrs old). The fixture is in a drywall ceiling in a church sanctuary about 45' up. It is accessible from a catwalk above the ceiling(barely). Changing out the entire fixture would be a huge task, ceiling repairs would be difficult due to the position of the light over top fixed items below it. There must be a certain heat range for the element dependent on lamp wattage I would suppose. Any thoughts appreciated.

Just tried to buy a thermal unit to replace one that failed. The supply house said they no longer sold just the thermal unit due to ul listing. So like was said find a comparable light and borrow from it.
