Interesting read of the definanition of this product, Thermocouple Wire here, which was my choice of reading from a search of Google that listed many manufactures here .

I didn't crack the book to find the a real name / type of what makes up a Soow cord though, sorry.

Has anybody heard of a SOOW cord with a thermocouple wire in it?
Yeah, matter of fact. I remember using some of it on a vacuum forming machine. It was made by a company who's name was something like aircraft wire and cable. That name didn't come up in Google, but whatever their name was, it was close to that.

I've got some calls out to a few specialty places, but haven't heard back from them. We've a million uses for them.
We're currently using 10/4 SOOW and running thermocouple wire taped along side of it, can't find a good way to protect it. These molds are constantly being changed in and out, so the cables are always abused, just on a side note these molds happen to be 483 phase and are controlled by solid real estates.

Close. The company is Aerospace Wire & Cable, one of my vendors. I talked to Al there, and he said it would be a custom run - they have made it, but it's not a stocked item, so you'd be looking at an MOQ. You can call them at 800-395-0200, or visit their website: http://www.aerospacewire.com/

Hope that helps.

What about braided sleeving?
