Well, I was going to ask about low voltage because I've seen it used for residential burglar alarms, such as for the wires out to the bullhorns that are in the attic.

At least I think it's THHN. Kinda looks like THHN ...

How about a single THHN used for a GEC or bonding conductor? Valid install.

Answer, yes if the ceiling is not used for enviromental air. It must be installed per applicable section in 250.
