So I recently completed a bathroom I will call it a touch up. I attached a picture so you can tell what I’m talking about. No Sheetrock was removed all that was done the bathroom was painted and the double vanity was replaced. What I did was replaced the fixtures and changed the dimmer. I did install an arc fault for what I touched. There is an outlet on the left wall. Obviously the code is saying an outlet by each sink base. However since no walls had been opened up and the outlet there was preexisting do you think I would have had to install another outlet for the other sink? Yes it did pass and I wasn’t forced to add one. Nor do I think I would be required to install one. I am just curious what everyone else thinks.

Really impressed! How did you keep yourself out of the mirror reflection? Are you super skinny?

No, no added receptacle. For just changing fixtures and adding a dimmer, no permit.

Haha with my phone you can delete things in pictures

Imo, if the cabinet (vanity) was replaced with a new configuration then you would be responsible for bringing it to code. If there was a 2 sink cabinet there before then you would not need a new receptacle
