three floors above grade

their is no mention of the 3 floors above grade for romex in my 2002 code book has this rule been moved or does it no longer apply this would be for a single residence

3 story rule is not in the 2002 code. It is now based on construction type.

Annex E helps by giving direction with different types of construction, but you are much better off letting the Building Officials determine the type of construction. It is suppose to be marked on the prints, but may not be there.
