I'm Trying To Figure Out What Size Panel Is Needed For Some Ink Flasher's For A Big Silk Screen Shop.. The Flasher's Are Machines That Turn High Wattage Lamps On For A Few Seconds.. There Are Six Of Them @ 60 Amps Ea 208v And There Are Three- 30 Amp 208 V Other Machines All 3 Pole Breakers. So A Total Of 6-60 Amp And 3-30 Amp There's A 600 Amp Section With Room For A 220 Amp 3 Phz Sub Feed Breaker .... Is That Going To Be Big Enough? ..................your Help Is Appreciated
 
What are the chances that all nine pieces of equipment will be operating at the same time? If there is a chance they could all be running at the same time, then I would say you are stuck sizing the breaker and feeder at the sum of the nameplate info, unless you can/want to install some sort of a timing scheme that would make it impossible for the machines to be on at the exact same time.

Also, are the amps you mentioned for each piece of equipment the number of amps per phase? It would be easier to calculate load requirements if you were working in kVA.
 
Hey, Thanks For Your Reply. The Six Flashers Are 46 Amps Ea So Thats 9568 Kva Ea One ?. And Two Of The Flashers Operate At The Same Time Per Silk Screen Machines But There Is A Chance That The Three Silk Screen Machines Could Get On The Same " Beat " Because They Are Manualy Rotated..the 3 - 30 Amp Is Unknown What The Actual Kva Is I Woud Say Just Over 20 For A Gas Dryer With A Small Conveyer Belt ..... Everthing Is 3 Phase 208.. So You Think A 225 Amp Three Phase Panel Is Enough..thanks .steve

Ok So Here We Go .the Six Flashers Are 46 Amps @ 9568 Watts 3 Phz 208 V. Two Of These Flashers Operate Per Silk Screen Machine At The Same Time .. The 3 Silk Screen Machines Are Manualy Rotated So The Is A Chance Of Them Getting On The Same "beat" The Flashers Turn On Heats Lamps For About 2 Sec When The Machines Rotate.. 3 30 Amp Units Are Not Flasher Just Gas Dryers And Prbably Just Over 20 Amps .... 225 Amp Panel 3 Phz 208 Volt Enough? Thanks .. Steve
