HOW do you identify the leads on three phase motor 230/460 volt . leads not marked.

Very carefully, If it is not dangerous or if it could not potentionally damage equipment. Then you could hook power to it and see if it is running in the right direction and speed.
This don't work if the power source has a high leg.

motor leads

nine wires coming out of motor no markings. it is a 230/460 motor.

This is not true. Three-phase (w/o neutral) loads don't care what the line-to-neutral voltage is on any conductor, only the line-to-line voltage.

Three conductors will show continuity; these are the three halves of each winding with the always-connected "neutral" point. The remaining six will show continuity between pairs. These are the other halves of each winding.

Finding the relative polarities and phase positioning for the windings would be beyond my knowledge, although I'm sure someone here will chime in. :)
