Hi,
I have a job site where the power company brought in three phase power, all of our equipment is setup for single phase. the power company dont want the imbalance by dropping a leg. is there a way to convert three phase to single phase while keeping the service entrance in balance? the power provided is 208/120V 600A. essentially only 150 kVA is required to run the site.

Contact a local Electrical Contractor, they will know what to do.

The majority of my commercial projects I will recommend 3 phase just because of reliability or service and allows for more flexible future expansion. Within these buildings 95% of my loads will be single phase loads (using a/b phase, b/c phase, or c/a phase). This wont be an issue at all unless you dont want to pay for 3 phase service or you've already purchased single phase electrical distribution equipment. Either way i do agree it would be best if you chatted with an Electrical contractor for more information.
