Would you still need to use a tile ring for this type of box in a CMU wall?
Pretty much the same as a plaster or mud ring, but the tile ring will have square corners. The others typically have rounded corners. They attach to a recessed box, with the face of the ring flush with the finish surface. What is a "tile cover"? Is that the box over the top of the larger box installed in the block core? If so, why do they call it a tile cover?
It looks like it has an open back, and gives tons of room for wiring to be stuffed back inside the box.
