Timer in a decor plate

In the image I posted....the timer switch on the left...is that a decor plate?.

No, it's the old Intermatic electro-mechanical timer. It actually fits through a standard switch plate. The indicator light uses what would be the upper plate screw hole, and there is a plate screw behind the knob, which pulls off.

agree. Some of the newer timers can mount to either a standard or decora plate

If it were through a Decora, you'd see the screws near the top and bottom edges. Looks like it's designed to go through a standard toggle or a Decora style, though.
