are there any listed devices for occupancy sensors, and dimmers?

i'm wondering if lutron pico switches and occupancy sensors would be
compliant, with the control module being outside the area?

i've surfed thru some cutsheets, without a yes or no.... anyone know?

I found this searching for "Class I, Division" in Lutron's home page search. It only returned Division 2. Outside explosionproof, purged/pressurized, or an intrinsically safe system, suitability for Division 1 is definitely much more difficult to achieve. BTW remember for HAZLOC, "Class" uses a Roman numeral ("I", "II", or "III"} designator.

Depending on construction though, a device may not need specific markings for Division 2. See Section 500.8(C) and its cross-reference to 500.8(C)(6).

thanks..... i've got an inquiry into lutron engineering, and i'm suspecting that pico switches and occupancy sensors, present no ignition hazards.....
i'll post what i find out.
