TN-C and grounding rods

for TN-C system ...there is a need to connect the generator or transformer (ground and netral cables)to the grounding rods??
plz advice?

This is an American site but as I’m in the UK I’ll answer.

You do need to earth the PEN conductor at source.

I have grounded(earthed) transformer ...so can I connect the generator PEN directly to PEN of the original transformer.??

If the transformer is a dedicated supply (SDS) then you can link the PEN.

Otherwise the N→E link needs to be switched by the ATS
