TO JBOX OR NOT TO JBOX?

Is it ok to use a 10x10 j-box to route service entrance conductors between a underground meter pedestal and 100amp main panel instead of a conduit body. Im looking at NEC 230.43(10) as a reference. This is for a structure on slab. The jbox would be back to back with the pedestal. And the panel is inside 26" above the jbox.

Thanks for your support

Welcome to the forum. I don't think there is a issue. I am not I fully understand the situation.

I have not done this with service entrance conductors, but I have often done something similar for feeders. Using a gutter in place of an LB makes for a much easier pull.

With service conductors, there is the additional concern regarding power theft. I suggest a chat with the PoCo.

From what I understand he is on the load side of the meter, so let them "think" they are stealing all they want.

There is nothing wrong with this installation - as per the specific questions asked.

Istallations with multiple service disconnects use a junction box or aux gutter to tie them all to the entrance conductors quite often.
