Re: To many kitchen circuits

WOW As there is no requirements in the NEC that restrict how many receptacles are allowed on a circuit in a dwelling, so these location's must have adopted there own set of codes? Is this allowed in Ohio? It's not here in Indiana.

Believe me......i wish it was that easy. If i had time id type out the circuit schedule they require us to use........its from the 70s and 80s. It gets confusing but must be done.

For circuits supplying loads consisting of motor-operated utilization equipment that is fastened in place and has a motor larger than hp in combination with other loads, the total computed load shall be based on 125 percent of the largest motor load plus the sum of the other loads.

you could connect this to a general lighting circuit, per 210.53 as long as the utilization equipment does not exceed 50 percent of the load
So, a safe way to apply what you're saying is that 125% of the opener's rating must be 50% of 15 amps. Honestly, how much do openers pull? I've never looked!
All cieling lights are to be rated at 150amps.
Jakeo, now that is playing it safe!!! :D

Sorry, nobody else seized the moment... :D
