To run a 100amp shore power to dock.

Customer wants to install a dock pedestal with a 100amp connector for a 87' boat. Since all power entering water has to be GF protected (either by GFCI or GFPE), how do I accomplish this?. I told him to install two 50amp connectors and to buy the adapter to combine them but he said that he had issues with the adapter before. That he just wanted to be able to connect the cord directly and not having to use a adapter. Suggestions? Oh, and installing the pedestal in land before the water is not an option.
