Installing 2400v transformer in a room. do we need 3hr fire resistent walls?
If we need 3hr walls we'll install outside. Would rather install in room if we can. The code book is unclear. Also the local utility didn't know.

I think the code is clear enough. Some questions:
  1. What is the KVA rating?
  2. What is the insulation system (i.e., dry-type, less-flammable liquid, non-flammable liquid, askarel-insulated, oil-insulated)?
  3. Will there be combustible material nearby?
  4. Will there be an automatic fire extinguishing system?
