Tolerance in parallel Conductors

Given:
5000 HP Motor
Voltage: 15 kV
Conductors: Parallel 500 kCM

Is there any tolerance in the length to these parallel conductors?

Thanks

Keith,
The code wording gives no tolerance, however in the real world that is impossible to comply with. The current will divide in inverse proportion to the lengths. If you have 2 parallel runs and one is 19' and the other is 20', the total length is 39' and the percentage length of the 19' one is 48.7 and the 20' one is 51.3. The 19' one will have 51.3% of the current and the 20' one 48.7% of the current. As long as you do not exceed the ampacity of the shorter conductor, there should be no problem.
