Thank you for your reply. If I post my problem, which a professional electrician would definitely have experience with, are those who reply permitted to share what he/she would do in the same situation?

As Infinity said, Charlie has allowed the thread, if the answer becomes "how to fix" it will be shut down. You might have better luck at diychatroom.com

Let me add a small clarification to what Rob and Roger have said: If you describe a problem that I or any electrician on this forum would know how to resolve, we are not allowed to tell you what we would do.

The issue of concern is that you might get an answer to the one question you are asking, but not get answers to the other questions you didn't ask because you didn't know you needed to ask. That could put you or your family at risk, and is a risk that the owner of this forum is unwilling to take.
