Are non- electrician folks permitted to post in here? I have an electricity question but am not an electrician.
Thank you for your reply. If I post my problem, which a professional electrician would definitely have experience with, are those who reply permitted to share what he/she would do in the same situation? You can post questions only if they are intended to help you understand the nature of a problem you are having with your electrical system. We cannot give you any advice or assistance in solving the problem.
Yes. Charlie has opened your thread so feel free to post your question.Thank you for your reply. If I post my problem, which a professional electrician would definitely have experience with, are those who reply permitted to share what he/she would do in the same situation?
Let me add a small clarification to what Rob and Roger have said: If you describe a problem that I or any electrician on this forum would know how to resolve, we are not allowed to tell you what we would do.Thank you for your reply. I understand, so can not ask the question. Thanks.Let me add a small clarification to what Rob and Roger have said: If you describe a problem that I or any electrician on this forum would know how to resolve, we are not allowed to tell you what we would do.
The issue of concern is that you might get an answer to the one question you are asking, but not get answers to the other questions you didn't ask because you didn't know you needed to ask. That could put you or your family at risk, and is a risk that the owner of this forum is unwilling to take.
Just ask it if it's inappropriate a moderator will remove it.I understand, so can not ask the question. Thanks.
Basically, if it's something we would advise you to call an electrician for, then no.I understand, so can not ask the question. Thanks.
