It looks like Quanta Services is a big conglomerate that includes contracting for gas pipelines as well as electric power transmission and distribution.
They also have several international operations and are on the S&P500 index:
Just my 2 cents but then they shouldn't be on an electrical contractor list. What's the source of this list anyway?

Couldn't imagine the logistics for companies that huge. Source is ECM. I agree tho, if you’re going to list the top electric companies, their qualifying revenue should be limited to electric.

I don't want to mention names, but one of those company's I regularly see work done that is absolutely horrible. I first thought it was just a bad tech, but the company stood up for the poor quality work as they did not want to spend money to fix/replace the new equipment that was mutilated in the install. Other guys on the large site from the company just shook there head and said "above my pay grade" as if they didn't like the work but knew some things happen and it was the norm. On another job I'm at there portion of the job, is currently on hold because they wont fix shoddy work and the GC is not happy. The sad part is there are a lot of guys for the company that do great work, so you see a mix of really good work and some of the worst all on the same large new construction sites.

Yeah I agree. Googled a few of those and I see lots of mentions of things like large scale infrastructure like fiber optic lines and electrical distribution and transmission. Also revenue doesn't mean much to me, I would be more interested in income/profit

How long has Rosendin been around?
They go back over 100 years, servicing what became the "Silicon Valley" when it was still the "Citrus Valley" (orange groves). They were a motor shop up until WWII when they started contracting and doing shipyard work in San Francisco. Then in the 50s then expanded and when minority business enterprises became a thing for government work, Rosendin (the family was of Mexican decent) became one of the only electrical MBEs in the area. When NASA Ames Research Center did a lot of expansion for the Moon Shot program in the 60s, he got a lot of that business and much of it was high tech. So he got a reputation for tackling big tech projects, which served him well when Silicon Valley boomed in the 80s and 90s. They were a partner in my Brother's business for a while, I met the Rosendin family (2nd generation), great people. Now I think the company is Employee Owned and no longer an MBE.

I don't know as much about Cupertino Electric, but they haven't been around as long, maybe the 50's?Similar story though on capitalizing on the explosive growth in Silicon Valley.
